The end of the carnival used to be announced by the arrival of Carnival Thursday, which today we know as Fat Thursday.
Although today the last week of the carnival is celebrated more symbolically – by buying or frying donuts on Fat Thursday – once its meaning was taken very seriously. It was believed that dancing and feasting could help to cast a spell on reality and bring good fortune under the roof.
Under the roof of Spichlerz you will certainly not run out of luck because our Chefs will make sure that it was generous, sweet and delicious. From Fat Thursday until the end of the carnival we invite you to enjoy sweets in three versions:
Traditional doughnuts in three flavours:
– with Belgian chocolate glaze,
– with rose jam covered with powdered sugar
– with rose jam and lemon icing,
which were created for you by our Head Chef Łukasz Szymon Gamoń
Faworki – fried to golden brown by Chef Szymon Grzenia
Medieval carnival roses with homemade cherry jam, in whose preparation whole heart put Chef Adrian Halusiak.
For those who don’t like only one option we propose a set – perfect to take home, for your guests or to work to carry this sweet joy further.
